The commander-in-chief explained he’s talked about a visit to the White House for the loved ones of both members of the West Virginia National Guard.

She conducted herself with calm resilience, a bright grin and a optimistic attitude that lifted those around her,” the principal, the leader of Beckstrom’s previous school, informed the media. “She was kind, considerate and always ready to help others.”

Funeral plans for Beckstrom are in the process of planning.

Law enforcement have charged a 29-year-old Afghan national with a charge of murder and two counts of violent assault while carrying a weapon.

The event caused the administration to suspend asylum processing and temporarily stop granting entry permits to holders of passports from Afghanistan.

The airman, a native of Martinsburg, began his service in February 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman high school, per the news agency.

“She had a lot of goodness and she certainly had courage,” he told the crowd at the service. “Though her time was cut short, she has created a legacy that’s going to endure.”
