The families of teens lost after a deadly inferno at a bar in a Switzerland's winter destination are facing an agonising period of uncertainty for confirmed information and appealing for clues about their family members publicly.

The inferno engulfed the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the mountains of the Valais region, in the early hours of the first day of the year. Verified video depict the roof structure igniting as beverages with sparklers are held aloft.

Authorities have indicated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the those who perished of the tragedy, which resulted in the death of 40 people and injured another scores more. The Italian foreign ministry has indicated that six of its young people remain missing.

Among them is Emanuele Galeppini, a teenage sportsman, originally from Genoa but now living in Dubai.

The Italian Golf Federation has stated that he is dead, without directly referencing the fire, honoring a "young athlete who embodied dedication and authentic values."

His father, told media that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around midnight. An representative has stated that a official announcement of his death is not yet.

Further Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise unaccounted for. His parent explained that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with a group and ended up at the venue.
