Indianapolis Colts Battle Falcons in German Capital – Week 10 NFL Action
Hello, fussball fans. How are you? Alles klar I hope on this fine morning kickoff to week 10 coming directly from Germany. Berlin's Olympic Stadium to be precise where at 8.30am CST/9.30am EST and 2.30pm GMT the mighty Colts (seven wins and two losses) face off against the Falcons (three wins and five losses). This marks the fifth matchup played on soil in Germany and the initial in the nation’s capital.
Pre-match Key Moments
As sparkly jackets go that is an real standout from Katarina Witt on the coin toss. A minor slip from the broadcast team there as we hear “which team got the coin flip?” from the commentator with an unfortunately hot mic.
So, the Colts have won the toss and have chosen to get the ball first. The Colts' offense will be setting up shortly. Can the quarterback recover after a difficult performance in Pittsburgh?
In a similar vein the singer belting out the US national anthem has some of the largest shoulder pads you are ever likely to see. The fashion picks are impressive today. We are almost underway after a choir performance for the German anthem. Classy.
Opening Period Gameplay
Colts 0-0 Falcons 13:30, 1st quarter
Here we go! And we have an exciting start after the Colts running back catches a screen pass, sweeps out for 15 yards to the right then loses the ball … only for his center to recover the fumble with the ball retrieval. Indianapolis quickly moves into Atlanta's half.
Still scoreless at 10:51
And the excitement continues as the Indianapolis attempts a fourth-down conversion. The risk doesn't work out as the wide receiver fails to catch a fastball from the quarterback. On the play before the turnover on downs Jessie Bates put a massive tackle on the Colts' tight end. Atlanta's defense started strong as they try and snap their three-game losing streak. Next up Sauce Garner’s debut!
Score Updates
First score: Colts lead 6-0 at 8:36
Did Kyle Pitts just drop a touchdown? The Falcons player makes a crucial error, he was very open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That moment reflects the first round pick’s career to date.
A disappointing start but it only gets worse for the Falcons as they cough the ball back to the Colts on the 23-yard mark. Michael Penix Jr is hunted down and fumbles the football.
An agile 22-yard rush from Ashton Dulin sets Jonathan Taylor up to roll in for the score on the following play. Kicker Michael Badgley misses the point after attempt. Mistake.
Falcons respond: 6-7 at 6:07
The quarterback recovers from the turnover by leading Atlanta on a long drive for a score of their own. The wide receiver makes some chunky receptions to put them in the red zone then the seas part for Tyler Allgeier to run untouched into the end zone through the middle of the defense for a 13-yard gain. He completes the drive for a one-yard touchdown of his own. Advantage Atlanta.
Additional Week 10 Games
Additionally, the full slate starting at 12pm CST/1pm EST/6pm GMT (with home teams first) is as follows:
(5-4) Panthers v Saints (1-8)
(5-3) Bears v Giants (2-7)
(3-5) Houston Texans v Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3)

(4-4) Minnesota Vikings v Baltimore Ravens (3-5)
(1-7) New York Jets v Browns (2-6)
(6-2) Tampa Bay Buccaneers v New England Patriots (7-2)
What a feast. I’m planting my flag on the Vikings and Ravens playing out the game of the day.
