British tennis star Emma Raducanu concludes the current season and will keep coach into the 2026 season.

Emma Raducanu reached the third round in three out of four Grand Slams in the current campaign.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has pulled out of her final two events of the year because of a health issue she has been battling over the past 10 days.

The 22-year-old was scheduled to compete in events in Asia but chose to travel back to recover before starting plans for the 2026 season.

Her upcoming training will involve trainer Francisco Roig, as they have decided to continue collaborating again next season.

The tennis professional had her blood pressure taken during her first-round match against Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and stopped playing when behind 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.

She needed once more a visit from the doctor at the Ningbo Open this week, where she lost in three sets to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in the first round.

Raducanu was also moving far from freely in the third set against Zhu because of a lower back issue that has affected her at times this year.

These outcomes followed a positive campaign, in which Raducanu rose into the world's top 30 after more than three years for the first time since 2022, ended with three successive defeats.

She held three match points prior to falling to American player Jessica Pegula in the third round in Beijing last month.

She secured twenty-eight matches in the current season and made it to the semi-final round in the Washington tournament, but her most impressive week was at the Miami event in March.

The British number one advanced to the quarters of this WTA 1000 tournament, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro en route prior to a loss in a three-set match to the world number four Pegula.

She worked with Mark Petchey as coach between Miami and Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role for the US Open.

The original arrangement with the ex-coach of Rafael Nadal was through the season's conclusion but they will keep working together, with planned training sessions late this year.

She mentioned that a three-day test period with Roig after Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as the meeting was kept under wraps.

The player was close to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at their first tournament together in Cincinnati in August.

Roig was also with Raducanu in the New York tournament, where she advanced to round three prior to losing to 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
